The Euro Cup 2012, the European Championship of Football, starts June 8 in Warsaw (Poland) with a match between Poland and Greece. 16 countries will fight for the European Championship. This tournament (which will end July 1) will dominate the public attention in Europe in the coming weeks. Winning such a championship will boost the morale of the winning country. Such a boost can even stimulate economic growth. Given the current negative attitude around Europe, especially in Greece, it may be essential for some economic challenged countries to get a morale boost by winning the European Championship.
Since the survival of the Euro depends on the decisions made in Greece in the coming weeks, it will be important for the Greeks as well as Europe in general to perform well in the Euro 2012. So Greece, win the Euro 2012 and save the Euro!! 🙂
